How To Play Royal Holdem

How to play Royal Hold’em – Royal hold’em is a game that is played on Poker Euphoria Poker. Royal Hold ‘em is a relatively new game that allows players an opportunity to play a Texas Hold ‘Em like game that has more action and aggressive play. One of the few drawbacks of Hold ‘Em is that players have to be patient and wait for opportunities to play their hands. Royal Hold ‘Em is a more action oriented game. The main drawbacks is the game can only be played with six players because there are only 20 cards in the deck – four 10s, four jacks, four queens, four kings and four aces. The hand rank is the same as Hold ‘Em, and the flop/river/turn concept is the same as well.

Here’s how it works:
Each played is dealt two cards face down. These are the players hole cards and are played by that person alone. This is followed by a round of betting. After that, a flop is dealt with three community cards. These cards are available to all players. There is another round of betting, then a turn card (another community card) is dealt. Another round of betting follows. Finally, a final community card, called the river, is dealt. There is a final round of betting and the winner is determined. The best five-card hand is made from the combination of hole cards and community cards.

Royal Hold ‘Em is exactly like Texas hold ‘em, but the fewer cards creates bigger hands, more wagering opportunities and exciting play. In Royal Hold ‘Em, full houses are common, and straights are not always very effective. With six players, all 20 cards are used, because you have 12 hole cards, five community cards and three burn cards. Quite simply, the odds of big hands are much better than in traditional hold ‘em. Quality starting hands abound and players have an opportunity to for more action.

As in traditional poker, winning hands are standard. There are no wild cards or jokers. As with most forms of poker, winning hand rankings are as follows: Royal flush (five consecutive cards of the same suit), four of a kind, full house (three of a kind and a pair), straight (five consecutive unsuited cards), three of a kind, two pair. Two pair is the lowest possible hand in Royal Hold ‘Em. Some hints for playing: 10-10 and J-J are not great hands pre-flop and should be folded in most instances.

Flopping the nut straight is almost useless because a player with a set is still a favorite. There is no flush unless you have a royal flush, so there is little point playing for that hand unless you are trying to get a royal. AA, KK, AK and AQ are the best starting hands and really the only ones you should play unless you are in the blinds. It is hard to win unless you have the best possible hand on the board. You have to get used to the idea that traditional hands simply aren’t that effective.

Royal Hold ‘em is an action game. You just have to enter it knowing that the game is different and that it’s easy to lose with strong hands like full houses. The odds combinations are much shorter to accomplish monster hands. Remember, there are only 20 cards in the deck, so all of the potential combinations are based on fewer cards. Royal Hold ‘em is a fun game to try if you want to mix things up and get in the action.
